Favorite Recipes for Troublesome Tummies
As a family that has tried several different diets to help with stomach issues, here are some of our favorite tried and true recipes. All recipes from outside sources are linked to their original sites, to give credit where it is due.
Favorite Cake
FODMAP Everyday wins with this Salted Caramel Banana Cake! No one can tell it is gluten and dairy free! I typically use 1-to-1 gluten free flour and Earth Balance Soy Free butter alternative. Be sure to get all the recipe parts, as the cake, the frosting, and the caramel sauce are all their own recipe. *Image credit to FODMAP Everyday too!
Favorite Comfort Indian Food
Dr. Rachel Pauls hits it out of the park with this Low FODMAP and gluten free Chicken Tikka Masala. We tend to spice it up a little with some extra flavors like ginger and tumeric, and I use coconut yogurt and dairy-free butter alternative to make it dairy free too. *Image credit to Rachel Pauls Food
Favorite Virgin Party Drink
Low FODMAP meal queen Alana Scott and her team of Registered Dieticians have so many great options on the
A Little Bit Yummy website. As someone who can no longer consume alcohol as part of my stomach issues, I still love a fun beverage and this hits the spot! *Image credit to A Little Bit Yummy
Favorite Fresh Strawberry Dessert
Another recipe from A Little Bit Yummy, this is my favorite farm fresh strawberry dessert and I had to publish this in time for strawberry season in my little part of the globe. Be sure to take the extra step of making the fresh lemon curd if you have enough spoons - store bought is fine if you need it! *Image credit to A Little Bit Yummy
